Get to know the dogs of Susitna Sled Dog Adventures! Join us in the dog yard and enjoy some fun with a lively group of sled dogs as they run around the fenced in yard. Explore the world of sled dogs, learn what it takes to compete in races, and understand why these incredible animals thrive in this unique role. We’ll tell you stories about the dogs and share adventures from the trails. After some playtime in the yard, we’ll dress up a dog in a harness, show you the sled, and talk about the winter gear we use. If we have any puppies, we’ll end the visit cuddling with the next generation of athletes.

This is a great activity for dog lovers who want to learn about sled dogs, and more importantly, get a dose of dog therapy.

Tour is not recommended for very small children. Dogs will be running around and jumping.

Learn all about the sport of mushing and see why these dogs love to run so much! You will embark on a guided tour aboard our cozy, 5-passenger vehicle perfect for the whole family! It’s equipped with a powerful engine to assist the dogs on rough terrain. Depending on the weather, our sled dog rides range from 0.5 to 2 miles (we keep it shorter in the summer to keep our pups cool). During the ride, we’ll stop for photos with the dogs and even switch up positions in the vehicle for everyone to enjoy the view.

After the ride, get ready for a fun kennel tour where you can romp around with the pups as they play freely in the yard. Next we’ll do a dog demo, where you’ll see a dog dressed in harness and all their winter gear, along with our sleds, and equipment.

We can’t wait for you to join us on this unforgettable journey!

If we have any puppies, we’ll end the visit cuddling with the next generation of athletes.
